Make a difference.

whether one-time or monthly, your contribution has a lasting impact.

Since 2017 we've come to see time and again how survivors who are supported not only transcend their painful pasts--they dedicate their whole lives to helping others. They become nurses, educators, therapists, lawyers, and more, even volunteering their time to continue making a difference.
They become beacons of light and Hope.
Due to recent budget cuts, 9 of our clients are no longer receiving funding for therapy; many more are about to lose funding as well.
Your donation doesn't just help one survivor--it touches the lives of every person that they come to protect and inspire.
Healing is how we make our communities safer, and this is how we change the world.

HUMANSAVE IS AN IRS 501C3 NONPROFIT. EIN 81-4941315

Humansave has helped more than I thought possible. I tried to go to a regular therapist, but they truly just don’t know what to do with sex trafficking trauma.

About us

Humansave is the only mental health nonprofit organization specifically dedicated to providing evidence-based, life-saving therapy to survivors of human trafficking and child sexual exploitation throughout California.

Our youngest client was just two years old.

While we are honored to be entrusted by law enforcement agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, large NGOs like Exodus Cry and Volunteers of America, and grassroots Anti-trafficking Nonprofits such as Gems Uncovered and Treasures, this also means that we are receiving more referrals than ever.

With an increased awareness of the importance of mental health support during trauma recovery, therapy is quickly becoming one of the most requested aftercare services by victims and survivors of human trafficking and child sexual exploitation.

But according to our clients, Survivor Leaders we work with, and other organizations in the anti trafficking space, it can be extremely difficult to find therapists who are skilled and trained to work with survivors. In fact, we often receive referrals for clients whose previous therapists terminated treatment as soon as they learned of the trafficking because they felt that it was beyond their scope of practice.

Furthermore, as community mental health programs are typically focused on symptom reduction rather than true healing and transformation, survivors are not acquiring the skill set necessary to transcend the cycles of victimization and trauma in order to thrive.

As an organization, we know what it takes to make a real difference and have had the immense privilege of witnessing so many survivors completely transform their lives and their children’s lives over our past 9 years of service.

But the journey is long, and this work can’t be done alone. Your support would make a lasting difference in the lives of survivors as they fight for a life free of debilitating flashbacks, sleepless nights, anxiety, suicidality, depression, and feelings of worthlessness.

Let’s build a legacy of Hope and Healing together.

What we do

Mental health treatment

We provide life-saving therapy for survivors ages 2+ and their families across CA. Our focus is on true healing rather than symptom reduction to end generational cycles of violence and trauma. We offer private practice caliber therapy at no cost to our clients.

Awareness + prevention

We work with youth, businesses, and community members to spread awareness on the issue, share what they can do to keep themselves and loved ones safe, and ignite and empower them to join the fight against human trafficking.

life skills curriculum

We work with partner organizations to offer survivors workshops that build foundational skills such as effective decision making, mindful parenting for trauma survivors, journaling, boundary setting skills, and more.

clinical training

We specialize in training other service providers on how to identify and treat the severe trauma often experienced by survivors and their families. Our goal is to work with others to best serve this population as we acknowledge that we can’t do this work alone..
