Britney: One Month

I have now been working a Humansave for about a month and I honestly have enjoyed so many aspects of it. I have been working closely with Dr. Franco, the Clinical Director, and taking a look at progress notes made by our Humansave therapists! Considering this is the career path I want to pursue, I find it easy to be intrigued.

By reviewing these progress notes, I get a closer look at what is happening in these sessions with clients and how much they’re improving and feeling better overall.

You get to read the goals that the therapist helps the client formulate for themselves and it demonstrates the efforts both the client and the therapist are making. In my Psychology of Personality class, we learned about implementation intentions and I can really relate it back to this, in a way. If we make specific goals and plans on how to accomplish them, we have a better chance of committing to those goals and actually achieving them. It shows that it is not easy to instantly change the way we feel but with hard work and commitment, it becomes possible.
